Kelly Proudlove
Head Coach/Coach Mentor/Playschool TeacherCoach Kelly originally got involved in our club in 2014 when her young daughter expressed interest in the sport. She continued to coach until 2020, and has recently returned to be our Head Coach, and we are is excited! Kelly is also our Tiny Tumblers Playschool teacher, as she has combined her love of teaching gymnastics and preschool aged children. Gymnastics has been a part of her life on and off since the age of 3, and now as our Recreational and Preschool Head Coach, she brings infectious positivity and understanding to all of our programs, and the kids love her.

Ella Moberg
Recreational Gymnastics CoachCoach Ella is another BGC gymnast turned coach. She started in the recreational program and then moved into the competitive program after 2 years. Coach Ella competed until 2021 when she started volunteering as a way to get into coaching. She has been coaching her own classes since January. Her favourite thing about being a coach is seeing the smile it brings to kids faces especially when achieving a new skill that they have worked so hard on.

Taylor Smith
RG Competitive/Recreational/Artistic Competitive Coach/Preschool CoachCoach Taylor was a BGC artistic competitive athlete from 2013 to 2017. In 2016 she joined BGC newest discipline of rhythmic gymnastics (RG), and became a competitive athlete in the rhythmic gymnastics world. In 2018 she moved to Edmonton to pursue rhythmic gymnastics solely. She was a competitive rhythmic gymnast until 2020. Coach Taylor attends university in Edmonton for child and youth psychology and comes to BGC on weekends to coach a sport she loves. She is looking forward to using her passion for RG to inspire other athletes to love the sport too. She also co-coaches our artistic competitive team and preschool classes. Coach Taylor is working towards becoming a gymnastics judge! Watching kids master new skills is her favourite part about being a coach.

Tara Morris
Artistic Competitive Head CoachCoach Tara joined our coaching team in Spring 2024. She is fairly new to the Drayton Valley area, coming from the City of Edmonton. She resides with her husband and daughter on an acreage along with their many beloved animals. Tara is quite an athlete herself as she is still active in a rodeo drill team who practices regularly and performs. She was a highly competitive gymnast for much of her life along with a BC Lions Cheerleader. Coach Tara brings so much knowledge to both athletes and coaches alike and she oversees our Competitive Artistic Team.

Katelyn Burghardt
Preschool Coach/Recreational Coach/Artistic Competitive Coach/ Tiny Tumblers Playschool Coach
Coach Katelyn was a competitive gymnast at BGC since 2014. She brings with her knowledge of the sport as she competed and then did recreational from 2013 to 2023. As she explored coaching, she has found her love of teaching kids and gymnastics and has put them together. She will be our Tiny Tumblers Playschool gym coach as well as continue to coach both recreational and competitive programs. She lives in Drayton Valley and is taking her early childhood schooling.

Shelby Proudlove
Recreational Coach/Go Ninja CoachShelby is currently a high school student in Drayton Valley. She did gymnastics at BGC from 2014 to 2018. During that time she was part of the recreational program, competitive team, and the competitive rhythmic team. Shelby is full of energy, which is important for keeping up with our Ninjas! She plans to explore post secondary education after high school.
