Competitive Gymnastics
The Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Program BGC uses for competitive athletes is the Woman’s Compulsory Routines (known as CCP, or formerly Junior Olympic Program).
This program is designed for gymnasts who have been selected to train on the merit of their physical ability, gymnastics potential, work ethic, and competitive spirit. The criteria are set forth by the competitive coaching staff. Participation in any Competitive Program requires a significant amount of time, commitment, and effort for both the athlete and their family. Being a part of a competitive team is a commitment, and athletes are expected to show up to the gym with enthusiasm, a good attitude and respect for their coach.
Team members train in the gym 4, 6, or 8 hours, depending on level. Try outs are held in the spring for the following season. The competitive season run Sept - June & training camp over the summer.
